Plastic Surgery

When considering plastic surgery it is best to first consult a board-certified plastic surgeon as they have considerable training and experience. They begin their training by obtaining a medical degree, and must complete 3-5 years of general surgery training. They then must carry out 2-3 years of plastic surgery training and some then complete an additional fellowship in a specific surgical discipline. The most common types of plastic surgery are breast augmentation/reduction, liposuction, rhinoplasty, facelift and tummy tuck. Other forms of plastic surgery are non-invasive and include laser skin resurfacing and Botox. Combination plastic surgery utilizes one or more of these procedures in a shorter period of time. A method referred to as "Mommy Makeover" combines liposuction, tummy tuck and breast augmentation to enhance the contours of a woman's body post pregnancy.
